IN pursuance of a direction issued to it by the Minister of Works (hereinafter referred to as “the Minister”) under the provisions of section 6 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1935, and in exercise of the powers vested in it by section 4 of the said Act, the Greymouth Borough Council, being the local authority controlling the Greymouth Aerodrome, comprising all that parcel of land described in the First Schedule hereto, for the purpose of making the said aerodrome safe for aviation purposes, hereby gives notice that it prohibits:—
-
Absolutely the erection, placing, or extension, without the consent of the Minister, of any building, mast, pole, or other structure of any kind, or the growing of any tree on the lands described in the Second and Third Schedules hereto, being the areas of land shown coloured green and edged green respectively on the Public Works Department Plan No. 96274 (which plan is hereinafter referred to as “the said plan” and a copy whereof is deposited in the office of the Greymouth Borough Engineer, Town Hall, Mackay Street, Greymouth), excepting thereout any unoccupied land owned by the Crown or by the said Greymouth Borough Council.

-
The erection, placing, or extension, without the consent of the Minister, of any building, pole, mast, or other structure of any kind, or the growing of any tree on the area of land described in the Fifth Schedule, being the area of land shown edged yellow on the said plan (excepting thereout any unoccupied land owned by the Crown or by the said Greymouth Borough Council), beyond a height of five feet above the level of the boundary of the said aerodrome nearest that portion of the said land upon, over, or above which the said building, pole, mast, or other structure of any kind is proposed to be erected, placed, or extended, or upon which any tree is growing or is proposed to be grown, increased by one-fifteenth part of the distance measured on a horizontal plane between the said boundary and the said portion of the said land: Provided that such restriction shall not apply to the erection, placing, or extension of any building, pole, mast, or other structure of any kind on the said land so far as such building, pole, mast, or other structure does not project above the level of the adjacent residences (if any) on the land edged yellow on the said plan, being the land described in the Fifth Schedule hereto.
In further pursuance of such direction as aforesaid, and in exercise of the powers vested in it by section 5 of the said Act, the said Greymouth Borough Council, for the purpose of obviating interference in any way with the use by aircraft of the said aerodrome, hereby gives further notice that it requires:—
