The Sales of Pork Restriction Order 1943, Amendment No. 6

PURSUANT to the powers conferred on the Food Controller by the Foodstuffs Emergency Regulations 1939,* and duly delegated to me by the said Controller pursuant to Regulation 4 of the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939, I, Andrew John Costelloe, the Secretary to the Food Controller, hereby order and direct as follows :

1. This order may be cited as the Sales of Pork Restriction Order 1943, Amendment No. 6, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Sales of Pork Restriction Order 1943† (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

2. Clause 3 of the principal Order is hereby amended by omitting the words "31st day of March, 1945", and substituting the words "31st day of October, 1945".

3. The Sales of Pork Restriction Order 1943, Amendment No. 5†, is hereby revoked.

Town Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,

Auckland, 27th March, 1945.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924 ; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 14th May, 1945.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 16th May, 1945, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount in reduction of weighting for improvements.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-TOWN LAND

Whangaroa County.-Kaeo Parish

ALLOTMENT 105 : Area, 1 rood 20 perches. Capital value, £25 ; half-yearly rent, 12s. 6d.

Weighted with £105 for improvements, comprising dwelling 45 ft. by 26 ft. (in poor repair) and shed 12 ft. by 16 ft. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £15, the balance may be paid over a period of ten years by twenty half-yearly instalments of £5 13s. 3d.

This is the old post-office and site at Whangaroa, and it is subject to a right-of-way in favour of Allotment 106, Kaeo Parish, adjoining, and has appurtenant to it a similar right over portion of the said Allotment 106, the right-of-way being the portion of each of these allotments containing the access steps.

Education Reserve in Southland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease

District Lands and Survey Office,

Invercargill, 27th March, 1945.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, 18th April, 1945.

The ballot will be held at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, 19th April, 1945, and the first half year's rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee must be paid as soon as the successful applicant is declared.

SCHEDULE

EDUCATION RESERVE.-FIRST-CLASS LAND

Southland County.-Wendon Survey District.-Otago Mining District Section 1, Block XI : Area, 630 acres 1 rood 11 perches. Half-yearly rent, £30.

Weighted with £2,835 for improvements, comprising five-roomed wooden dwelling (iron roof), stable, barn, implement-shed, hut, smithy, cow-shed, garage, fencing, plantations, draining, cultivation, grassing, and road.

Arrangements will require to be made by the successful applicant for a mortgage to the State Advances Corporation for the amount of loading, £2,835.

The property is situated about ten miles from Riversdale, and comprises undulating to hilly country of medium quality, somewhat broken in the south-west corner. With the exception of approximately 65 acres, the whole area is cultivable and, although in somewhat poor condition, is capable of making a good holding under good farming methods. The greater portion has a north to north-easterly aspect.

NOTE.-Term of lease : Thirty-three years.
