(b) Any funds, investments, or lands hereafter given, devised,

or bequeathed by any donor or testator upon terms
which forbid inclusion in such amalgamated fund:
(c) Any funds, investments, or lands which may hereafter be
given, devised, or bequeathed to the College which the
governing body of the College do not wish to include
in the amalgamated fund:
(d) Income accrued and uncollected at date of amalgamation,
i.e., 31st day of January, 1945.
Secondly, to provide for payment of the costs and expenses
of promotion of the Bill.
Printed copies of the Bill will be deposited in the Private Bill
Office in Wellington not earlier than thirty days before and not
later than fourteen days after the commencement of the next
ensuing session of Parliament.

ELLERSLIE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Ellerslie
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £1,750, authorized to be raised by the
Ellerslie Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of completing drainage and sewerage works within the
Ellerslie Borough District, the said Ellerslie Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth of one penny
in the pound upon the rateable value, on the basis of the unim.
proved value, of all rateable property in the Ellerslie Borough
District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such special loan and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is
fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted
meeting of the Council held in the Council Chambers, Ellerslie,
on the 20th day of March, 1945.

TARADALE TOWN BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Taradale
Town Board hereby resolves as follows:
“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, instalments of principal, and other charges on a loan of
£20,000 (known as ‘ Housing Loan, 1944 ’), authorized to be
raised by the Taradale Town Board under the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of the acquisition of land and the erection
of workers’ dwellings thereon, the said Taradale Town Board
hereby makes and levies a special rate of three and one-eighth of
a penny in the pound (£) on the rateable value, on the basis of
the unimproved value, of all rateable property of the Taradale
Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable
on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan
is fully paid off.”
We certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a
resolution passed at a meeting of the Taradale Town Board held
at Taradale on the 8th day of March, 1945.

    WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL
    RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE
    IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
    by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Wanganui City
    Council hereby resolves as follows:
    “ That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments
    of principal and interest on a loan of £37,400, authorized to be
    raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned
    Act, for the purpose of erecting a new retort house containing six (6)
    new Glover West vertical retorts complete, the said Wanganui City
    Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·377 of a penny in
    the pound upon the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved
    value, of all rateable property of the City of Wanganui, com-
    prising the whole of the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof
    are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 12th day of August,
    1926, No. 53, at pages 2500 and 2501; and that such special rate
    shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan
    and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
    year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five
    (25) years from the date of the raising of the loan or until the loan
    is fully paid off.”
    The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of
    the City of Wanganui was hereunto affixed this 20th day of March,
    1945, by order of the Wanganui City Council by and in the presence
