Education Reserve in North Auckland Land District for Selection
on Renewable Lease
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 21st March, 1945.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education
reserve is open for selection on renewable lease under the
Education Reserves Act, 1928, the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908,
and the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1924; and applications will
be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey
Office, Auckland, up to 11 o'clock a.m. on Monday, 14th May, 1945.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on
Wednesday, 16th May, 1945, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant
is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board
or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined
documentary evidence of their financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required
to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the
first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—EDUCATION RESERVE
Auckland City.—Suburbs of Auckland
LOT 1 on D.P. 31941, being part of Allotment 70, Section 16: Area,
36.4 perches. Capital value, £435; half-yearly rent, £10 17s. 6d.
This section is a good building-site in Waiata Avenue, Remuera,
only five minutes from Remuera Post-office. Good tram service
and all modern facilities are available. Frontage of 57.5 ft., and
partly below road-level and rising at back.

Settlement Land in Hawke's Bay Land District for Selection on
Renewable Lease
District Lands and Survey Office,
Napier, 21st March, 1945.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open
for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924,
and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications will be
received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, up to
4 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, 11th April, 1945.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, on Thursday, 12th April,
1945, at 11 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he
may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner
of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce documentary
evidence of their financial position and farming experience.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required
to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the
first half-year's rent, lease fee, and deposit in reduction of weighting
for improvements.
SCHEDULE
HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.—FIRST-CLASS
LAND
Hawke's Bay County.—Tangoio Survey District.—Tongoio Settlement
(Exempt from payment of rent for two years.)
SECTION 6, Block I: Area, 370 acres. Capital value, £370; half-
yearly rent, £9 5s.
Weighted with £1,920 for improvements, comprising dwelling,
wool-shed, garage, and outbuildings; half-share 46 chains boundary-
fencing, 325 chains road-boundary fencing, and 110 chains internal
fencing; and 370 acres cleared and grassed. This sum is payable in
cash or over a period of thirty-six years and a half by half-yearly
instalments of £57 12s., principal and interest at 5 per cent.
combined.
After payment of first half-year's rent and instalment the
lessee shall be entitled to a remission of rent and interest for two
years, conditional upon improvements of equal value being effected
to property during the remission period.
This is a grazing property situated on Main Napier-Wairoa
Road, two miles from Tangoio School and thirty-five miles from
Heretaunga Dairy Factory. Access is by good metalled road, except
last mile along Te Ngaru Stream. Sixty-four acres are in flats,
mostly in English grasses (subject to flooding), and 306 acres hill
country in native grasses. The property is estimated to be capable
of carrying up to six hundred sheep and dry cattle; watered by a
stream.
NOTE.—Date of possession is 1st July, 1945.
