Notice to make Returns of Land under the Land and Income Tax Act, 1923.—Returns of Land

EVERY person and company, whether a taxpayer or not, being the owner of land in New Zealand within the meaning of the Land and Income Tax Act, 1923, and regulations thereunder, is hereby required to forward to or deliver at my office, Wellington C. 3, on or before the 10th April, 1945, in the prescribed form, returns of such land as at 12 noon on 31st March, 1945, where the total unimproved value, as assessed under the Valuation of Land Act, 1925, exceeds £500.

Any person failing to furnish a return at the prescribed time is liable to a penalty up to £100.

Return forms are available at any post-office.

The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925.—Notice of Proposed Cancellation of Registration

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the Auckland Curriers and Beams men’s Industrial Union of Workers, registered No. 1389, situated at Auckland, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 22 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial union after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.

Price Order No. 347 (Amending Price Order No. 128) (Eggs)

PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order :—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 347, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 128† (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 23th day of March, 1945.

  3. The principal Order is hereby amended by adding to subclause (1) of clause 5 the words “or ‘Preserved’”, and by deleting the word “or” before the word “Ungraded”.

  4. The Second Schedule to the principal Order, as set out in Price Order No. 339‡, is hereby revoked, and the following Schedule substituted therefor :—
