I further direct that you cause the nominations for the said member to be received at the Native Land Court, Wellington, not later than noon on the 24th day of January, 1945, and, in the event of the election being contested, that the poll shall be taken on the 10th day of February, 1945.
You are further required to endorse on this writ the name of the person so elected, and to return the writ to me on or before the 24th day of February, 1945.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Electoral Act, 1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish all existing polling-places, and do hereby appoint the places mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be the polling-places in the said Western Maori Electoral District.
