Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Taking of Fish for Sale

C. P. Fisher, Kopu, Thames Line, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his fishing-vessel “Kopu” (not yet registered); using set-nets and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Kopu.

J. Ward, Charles Street, Westshore, Napier, has applied for a variation of his existing license in respect of the “Silver Foam,” NR. 10, so as to permit him to operate the “Rose Marie,” CHN. 48, using trawl-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Napier.

Fish Retailing

V. G. Wilkins, 35 London Street Lyttelton, has applied for a fish-retailer’s license to permit him to sell cooked fish from premises situated at the corner of London and Canterbury Streets, Lyttelton.

Fish Canning

Messrs. W. D. Nolan and Sons, Fish-canners, Upper Okuru, Westland, have applied for a variation in the conditions of their existing fish-canner’s license so as to permit them to operate at factory premises to be established at Jackson’s Bay, Westland.

Sale by Wholesale of Fish

S. Andrews, Palmerston North Fish Supply Co., Ltd., 15 Rangitikei Street Palmerston North, has applied for a license to engage in the sale by wholesale of oysters, distribution to be made to the districts of Palmerston North, Feilding, Woodville, and Dannevirke.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear

Suckling Bros., Ltd., P.O. Box 358, Christchurch, have applied for permission to open a machine-room at Leeston.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

D. R. Rendall has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one petrol pump installed at store premises situated at Rotowaro and previously licensed in the name of H. McInally.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 29th March, 1945, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Price Order No. 345 (Char)

PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following Price Order :—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 345, and shall come into force on the 19th day of March, 1945.

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER

  1. This Order applies only with respect to char manufactured at Rotowaro and sold by a wholesaler or retailer for use in the North Island.

FIXING MAXIMUM PRICES OF CHAR TO WHICH THIS ORDER APPLIES

  1. (1) Subject to the next succeeding subclause the maximum price that may be charged or received by any person other than the manufacturer for any char to which this Order applies shall be determined as follows :—
