And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application
has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application
relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a
discharged serviceman :
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the
Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of
the land, did on the 7th day of February, 1945, make an order
determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said
order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within
any further time allowed by the Court :
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman
who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of
His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of
section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is
taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby
specifies the 12th day of April, 1945, as the date on which the said
land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

FIRSTLY, all that piece or parcel of land containing one hundred and
eighty-one (181) acres two (2) roods thirty-three (33) perches, more
or less, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 14798, being also portion
of the block situated in Block XI, Waitoa Survey District, called
Te Puringa Nos. 3 and 4, and being all the land comprised in
certificate of title, Vol. 339, folio 66 (Auckland Registry), subject to
drainage rights contained in Transfer 49363.

Secondly, all that piece or parcel of land containing six decimal
eight nought nine (6·809) acres, more or less, being part of Lot 1
on Deposited Plan No. 14798, and being part of the land comprised
in certificate of title, Vol. 339, folio 67 (Auckland Registry), subject to
drainage rights contained in Transfer 49363.

As witness my hand, this 9th day of March, 1945.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice
declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged
Serviceman

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the
Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land
described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the
Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application
has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application
relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a
discharged serviceman :
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the
Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of
the land, did on the 31st day of January, 1945, make an order
determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said
order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or
within any further time allowed by the Court :
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who
is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His
Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of
section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is
taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby
specifies the 27th day of March, 1945, as the date on which the said
land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District containing seventy-five
(75) acres one (1) rood and thirty-three (33) perches, being parts of
Sections 58, 59, and 140, District of Waimea South, situated in
Block IX, Waimea Survey District, and being all the land in certifi-
cate of title, Vol. 25, folio 200 (Nelson Registry), and subject to
rights-of-way created by transfers numbered 4762 and 7309.

As witness my hand, this 9th day of March, 1945.
