NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the Regulations Act, 1936, of the making of regulations and orders as under:-

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions have been made in respect of applications for licenses.

J. Ballantyne, 126 Barn Street, Bluff.. For a variation of his existing license in respect of the “Te Anau,” BF. 68, so as to permit him to use trawl-nets, in addition to the present method of fishing Granted .. 13 Feb., 1945.
L. R. Green, Lyall Bay, Wellington .. For a variation of his existing license so as to permit him to operate his 14 ft. fishing-vessel (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Moa Point Declined 13 Feb., 1945.
E. T. Frost, Mangonui .. For a license to permit him to operate his 25 ft. fishing-launch “Roma” (not yet registered), using set-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Mangonui Granted .. 13 Feb., 1945.

De Lisle, Whakatiwai, Kaiaua R.D., Pōkeno For a license to permit him to operate his 16 ft. 5 h.p. launch (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Whakatiwai, and also for a fish-retailer’s license to enable him to sell his catches at boat-side and from premises in Whakatiwai Granted .. 13 Feb., 1945.
N. Saltamanicas, Gisborne .. For a license to operate the fishing-vessel “Mermaid,” NR. 20, using set-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Gisborne Declined 13 Feb., 1945.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Taking of Fish for Sale

H. Clendon, Private Bag, Russell, has applied for a variation of his existing license so as to permit him to operate his fishing-vessel “Nancy,” AK. 277, in place of the “Tui,” using long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Russell.

A. T. Courtney, 31st Avenue, Whangarei, and L. M. Riesterer, 9 Rust Lane, Whangarei, have applied for a variation of their industrial fishing licenses in respect of the “West Wind,” AK. 412, so as to permit them to operate also the 12 ft. outboard-motor boat, using the same method of fishing, catches to be landed at Whananaki.

Fish Retailing

W. H. Strongman, Kerikeri Inlet, Bay of Islands, has applied for an extension of his existing fish-retailer’s license in respect of the Kerikeri and Waipapa districts, so as to permit him to hawk fish for sale in the districts between Kerikeri and Okaihau, via Pakaraka, Waimate North, and Ohaeawai.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 8th March, 1945, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
