Public Trust Office.—Termination of Agency at Whakatane and Appointment of District Manager

IT is notified for public information that the Agency of the Public Trust Office at Whakatane has been terminated, and a permanent branch will be established as from the 19th February, 1945, under the control of Mr. J. H. Duthie.

Extraordinary Election of Member of Board of Appeal under Public Service Act, 1912, as Representative of Officers of Public Service

NOTICE is hereby given that, in accordance with the Public Service Act, 1912, and regulations made thereunder, an extraordinary election will be held on Tuesday, the 27th day of March, 1945, to elect a member of the Public Service Board of Appeal.

Nominations, in writing, by not less than three officers entitled to vote, must reach me at Wellington not later than noon on Saturday, the 10th day of March, 1945. The consent of any candidate to nomination must appear on the face of the nomination paper and be signed by him. Forms are available from the Returning Officer.

Public Service Superannuation Fund.—Election of Members of the Board

TWO extraordinary vacancies having occurred, notice is hereby given that an election will be held on Friday, the 13th day of April, 1945, for the purpose of electing, as members of the Public Service Superannuation Board, two representatives of the contributors who belong to Departments of the Public Service other than the Post and Telegraph or Police.

The said election will be held at the office of the Public Service Superannuation Board, Departmental Buildings, Stout Street, Wellington C. 1.

Nominations will be received by the Returning Officer, in the form prescribed by Regulation 44 under the Public Service Superannuation Act, 1927, until Friday, the 16th day of March, 1945, at 5 o’clock p.m. The voting-lists will be closed on the same date.

The poll will close at 5 o’clock p.m. on the 13th day of April, 1945. Ballot-papers, if posted, must be posted to the Returning Officer not later than 5 o’clock p.m. on 13th day of April, 1945, and must reach him not later than 5 o’clock p.m. on the fifteenth day thereafter. Ballot-papers, if delivered to the Returning Officer, must be so delivered in a sealed envelope not later than 5 o’clock p.m. on the 13th April, 1945.
