Price Order No. 315 (Amending Price Order No. 128) (Eggs)

PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 315, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 128† (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 12th day of February, 1945.

  3. The Second Schedule to the principal Order, as set out in Price Order No. 304‡, is hereby revoked and the following Schedule substituted therefor:—

Land in Canterbury Land District forfeited

Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, 6th February, 1945.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Canterbury Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Lands in Wellington Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease

District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 6th February, 1945.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Education Reserves Act, 1928; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 26th February, 1945.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, State Fire Building, Wellington, on Wednesday, 28th February, 1945, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and weighting for improvements.

The land in the First Schedule is town land and may be selected on renewable lease—term, thirty-three years; the land in the Second Schedule is rural land, and, at the option of the applicant, may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on renewable lease—term, sixty-six years; the land in the Third Schedule is an Education Reserve and may be selected on renewable lease (with no right of freehold)—term, thirty-three years.

FIRST SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
TOWN LAND

Kaitieke County.—Town of Ohakune

SECTION 9, Block XI: Area, 1 rood. Capital value, £15; half-yearly rent, 7s. 6d.

Weighted with £1 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising felling and grassing and 1 chain of fencing.

This section is situated in the Borough of Ohakune, a quarter of a mile from the post-office and school, and one mile and a quarter from the railway-station. Section is of good quality, all flat, cleared, and grassed, with a creek running along one side.

Waimarino County.—Karioi Survey District

Section 9, Block V, Rangataua Township: Area, 1 rood 20 perches. Capital value, £10; half-yearly rent, 5s.

Weighted with £6 5s. (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising felling, grassing, stumping, and 5 chains of fencing.

This section is situated in the Township of Rangataua, one-quarter of a mile from the school, post-office, and railway-station. All flat land, suitable for building-site. Soil is of light loam or clay formation, but not watered.
