Extension of Time for Receipt of Tenders for Purchase of Logs, Rotorua Conservancy

NOTICE is hereby given that the time for receipt of tenders for the purchase of logs from State Forest No. 58, Rotorua Conservancy, contained in notice dated 23rd day of November, 1944, and published in Gazette of the 30th day of November, 1944, at page 1467, is extended from Monday, 18th December, 1944, to Monday, 22nd day of January 1945.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf, by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolved as follows :-

"That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest on a loan of £14,500, authorized to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose, together with other moneys available, of acquiring for crematorium and cemetery purposes certain lands situate at Upper Aramoho, particularly described as—first, in that parcel of land situated in the Provincial District of Wellington containing 6 acres 3 roods 38.5 perches, be the same a little more or less, being part of Section 32, Right Bank, Wanganui River, and being Lot 6 and part of Lot 5 on Deposited Plan No. 4984, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 284, folio 181; secondly, in that parcel of land situate as aforesaid containing 3 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less, being part of Section 32, Right Bank, Wanganui River, and being Lot 7 on Deposited Plan No. 4984, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 284, folio 182; and, thirdly, in that parcel of land situate as aforesaid containing 1 rood, more or less, being part of Section 32, Right Bank, Wanganui River, and being part of Lot 5 on Deposited Plan No. 4984, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 286, folio 198, and of laying out such lands and erecting a crematorium on portion thereof, the said Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.144 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of Wanganui, comprising the whole of the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 12th day of August, 1926, No. 53, at pages 2500 and 2501; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years from the date of the raising of the loan or until the loan is fully paid off."
