Land reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic and historic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic and historic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

All that area containing 6·8 perches, more or less, being Reserve 4476 (formerly part Lot 1, D.P. 4499), and situated in Block IV, Halswell Survey District, and partly in the Borough of Lyttelton, and being the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 481, folio 258 (Canterbury Registry). As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/353, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of December, 1944.

Consenting to stopping Portions of Road in Block V, Hapuakohe Survey District, Waikato County

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of December, 1944

Present:
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waikato County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road permitted to be stopped:
A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through
0 0 2·6 Allotment 348E, Taupiri Parish.
0 3 11·6 Allotment 348E, Taupiri Parish.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 120332, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purpose of establishing hotels and suitable places for the sale and supply of refreshments.

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government road.
