IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

of ATHENREE LAND COMPANY, LIMITED (in Voluntary
Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in its minute-book
the above-named company on the 28th day of October,
1944, passed a resolution for voluntary winding up as follows:
“(1) That the company be wound up voluntarily;
“(2) That Mr. JOHN BLENNEHASSITT BEECHE, of Waihi,
be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
P URSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice
is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of
the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held
on the 8th day of November, 1944, the following resolution was
passed as a special resolution:
“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”
It was further resolved that JOHN KEITH ROBBIE, care of
J. G. Ward and Company, Limited, Invercargill, be appointed
liquidator.

THOMAS WILSON KEWLEY TRUST

In the matter of the Religious, Charitable, and Educational
Trusts Act, 1908, and its amendments, and in the matter
of a Trust created by THOMAS WILSON KEWLEY, in respect
of Allotments 75, 76, 77, and 78, Balmacewan Estate.
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 7th day of November, 1944,
in the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Dunedin, the
Honourable Mr. Justice Kennedy made an Order in respect of a
scheme for the disposal of the above-mentioned land, and by such
Order directed that the said land should be sold and that the proceeds
of the sale of the said land should be applied in the erection of
church buildings at Wakari in the manner set out in the said Order.
The said Order is filed in the office of the Supreme Court at
Dunedin.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE OF ONE PENNY HALFPENNY
(1½d.) IN THE POUND (£) AS SECURITY FOR THE WAIPORI FALLS
ELECTRICAL POWER REPAYMENT LOAN, 1945, OF £85,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Dunedin City Council
hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £85,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin
City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
repaying in part the ‘Waipori Falls Electrical Power Loan, 1929,’
of £100,000, maturing in London on the 1st February, 1945, the
said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of one penny halfpenny (1½d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of
the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the said city; and
that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day
of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of thirteen (13) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of
the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on Monday,
6th November, 1944.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore existing
between RICHARD NOBLE and DENIS DONOVAN (now deceased),
trading in Wairoa as Saddlers, has been dissolved by mutual consent
as from 4th day of October, 1944.
The business will be carried on by the said RICHARD NOBLE.

the meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up of the
said company has been conducted and the assets of the said company
disposed of, and for hearing any explanation that may be given by
the liquidator.

Companies Act, 1933, that a meeting of creditors of the above
company will be held at the offices of Messrs. Mitson, Bell, and Co.,
24 Water Street, Dunedin, on Friday, 1st December, 1944, at 11.15
a.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting
showing the manner in which the winding-up of the said company
has been conducted and the assets of the said company disposed of,
and for hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator,
and also of passing a resolution disposing of the books, documents,
and accounts of the company. The resolution to be submitted to
creditors is as follows:
“That the books, documents, and accounts of the liquidators
be kept at the offices of Messrs. Mitson, Bell, and Co., 24 Water
Street, Dunedin, for the period of six months from the date of passing
this resolution, and thereafter that they be destroyed.”

PAHIATUA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Footpaths, Kerbing, and Borough Improvements Loan, 1944, £3,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other
powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Pahiatua Borough Council
hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest,
principal, and other charges on the sum of £3,500, to be borrowed in
respect of the Pahiatua Borough Council ‘Footpaths, Kerbing, and
Borough Improvements Loan of £3,500, 1944,’ authorized to be raised
by the Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
tar-sealing roads, constructing footpaths, concrete kerbing and
channelling, concrete culverts, constructing concrete kerbing in the
Town Squares, and improving the headworks of the Reservoir on
parts of Sections 8, 10, and 11, Block XI, Mangahao Survey District,
and improving access thereto by installing concrete culverts, the
said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixty-eight
one-hundredths (68/100ths) of a penny in the pound on the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the Borough of Pahiatua; and that such rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and shall be
payable half-yearly on the 1st day of November and the 1st day of
May in each and every year during the currency of the said loan,
being for a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

of JAMES PAYNE, LIMITED, a duly incorporated private
company having its registered office at Auckland.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Order of the Supreme Court
of New Zealand, Northern District (Auckland Registry),
dated the 7th day of November, 1944, confirming the reduction of
the capital of the above-named company from £12,000 to £6,000,
and the minute (approved by the Court) showing with respect to
the capital of the company as altered the particulars required by
the above statute, were registered by the Assistant Registrar of
Companies at Auckland on the 10th day of November, 1944: And
notice is further given that the minute above mentioned is in the
words and figures following:
“The capital of James Payne, Limited, is £6,000 divided into
12,000 shares of 10s. each, instead of 12,000 shares of £1 each. At
the date of the registration of this minute all shares have been and
are to be deemed to be fully paid up.”
