THE Controller of Man-power doth hereby give notice that the Minister of Industrial Man-power has made the following amendments to declarations of essential undertakings as enumerated hereunder as from the dates indicated :—

Price Order No. 284 (Rags)
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following Price Order :—
PRELIMINARY

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 284, and shall come into force on the 6th day of November, 1944.

(1) Price Order No. 131†, is hereby revoked.
(2) The revocation of the said Price Order shall not affect the liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before the coming into force of this Order.
APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER
- This Order applies to all kinds of rags that are capable of being manufactured into flock.
FIXING MAXIMUM PRICES THAT MAY BE CHARGED OR RECEIVED BY ANY VENDOR FOR RAGS TO WHICH THIS ORDER APPLIES
- The maximum price that may be charged or received by any vendor for rags to which this Order applies shall be—
(a) For rags sold at any place within the Metropolitan Areas of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin, as respectively defined in the First Schedule hereto: The appropriate price specified in the Second Schedule hereto :
(b) For rags sold elsewhere than in one of the said Metropolitan Areas: The appropriate price specified in the Second Schedule hereto, increased by the amount of the charges (if any) incurred by the vendor in effecting delivery at the purchaser’s place of business; but not exceeding in any case the charges that would have been incurred by him if delivery had been effected by a common carrier at current freight rates to the nearest point in such one of the said Metropolitan Areas as is nearest to the place of sale.
