Alteration of Boundaries of Puketītiri Fire District

WHEREAS by a notice published in the Gazette on the 10th day of February, 1927, at page 412 (hereinafter referred to as “the said notice”), a certain area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District was declared to be a fire district under section 27 of the Forests Act, 1921–22, and named the Puketītiri Fire District:

And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of the Puketītiri Fire District:

Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 27 of the Forests Act, 1921–22, and section 6 of the Forests Amendment Act, 1925, and on the recommendation of the Director of Forestry and of the Land Board of the Hawke’s Bay Land District, I hereby revoke the said notice, and do declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a fire district to be known as the “Puketītiri Fire District,” and, with respect to the fire district constituted as aforesaid, I do further specify the period from the 1st day of November in any year to the 31st day of March in the following year, inclusive, as the period during which it shall not be lawful for any person within the said district, save pursuant to the written permit of a Forest Officer, to set on fire or cause to be set on fire any timber, whether standing or not, or any undergrowth, or any debris from forest operations, or any grass or other specially inflammable material, without taking such precautions as may be prescribed by a Forest Officer.

SCHEDULE

PUKETĪTIRI FIRE DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay County, containing by admeasurement 7,950 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks XIII and XIV, Pohui Survey District, and Blocks I and II, Patoka Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 93, Block XIII, Pohui Survey District, and towards the north-west by the said Section 93; towards the north by Section 101, Block XIII, Pohui Survey District, the crossing of a public road, part Block 95, Patoka Crown Grant District, Section 24, Block XIV, Pohui Survey District, again by the said part Block 95, Patoka Crown Grant District, and by Lot 1, D.P. 1355; towards the east generally by Sections 20 and 8, Block XV, Pohui Survey District, the eastern side of Carswell’s Road, part Rural Section 7 and Rural Section 6, Puketītiri Reserve, on D.P. 2148, Lot 10, D.P. 6529, the crossing of a public road, and again by the said Rural Section 6, Puketītiri Reserve; towards the south and east generally by part Section 11, Block II, Patoka Survey District, and by Sections 7 and 8, Block II aforesaid; towards the south generally by Section 91, Block II aforesaid, and Section 27, Block I, Patoka Survey District, to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 64/10, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

ALL that area of land in the Ikaroa Native Land Court District, containing 57 acres 0 roods 27 perches, more or less, situate in the Wāiopehu Survey District, and called or known as Ohau 3 Subdivision 10B.
