Price Order No. 282 (Amending Price Order No. 142) (Apples and Pears)
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth herebymake the following amending Price Order:—

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 282, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 142† (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

This Order shall come into force on the 16th day of October, 1944.

The First Schedule to the principal Order, as set out in Price Order No. 275‡, is hereby revoked, and the following Schedule substituted therefor:—

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Taking of Fish for Sale
R. T. Carrel, 66 Wainui Road, Gisborne, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 25 ft. 14 h.p. engined launch “Acorn” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Gisborne. This application is in substitution of his application previously made in respect of his 15 ft. fishing-boat, vide Gazette notice dated 14th September, 1944, and not yet granted.
Rewi Wikiriwhi, Maketu, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 16 ft. outboard-motor boat “Moana” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Maketu, and also for a fish-retailer’s license to permit him to hawk his catches in Maketu, Paengaroa, excluding one-mile radius of Te Puke and Pongakawa.
Fish Retailing
A. Franklin, Victory Restaurant, Emerson Street, Napier, has applied for a fish-retailer’s license to permit him to sell cooked fish from the above shop premises.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than 26th October, 1944, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
