Decisions of the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions have been made in respect of applications for licenses.

E. Guinan, Saxon Street, Motueka For a license to permit him to operate his 21 ft. 20 h.p. engined-vessel “Daphne” (not yet registered), using trawl-nets, set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Riwaka Reconsidered and granted 25 Sept., 1944.
Fish Retailing
H. Dormer, 17 Seacombe Avenue, Point Chevalier, Auckland For a fish-retailer’s license to permit him to hawk his catches between Cornwallis and Titirangi, via Parau and Woodlands Granted .. 25 Sept., 1944.
E. Pook, Licensed Fisherman, Whakapirau For a fish-retailer’s license to permit him to hawk a portion of his catches for sale from boat-side at Whakapirau and Pahi Granted .. 25 Sept., 1944.
Manufacture for Sale of Salt
F. de Latour, Raglan For a license to engage in the industry of the manufacture for sale of salt Granted (up to 5,000 tons per annum, by his own patented process) 28 Aug., 1944.

Taking of Fish for Sale

F. A. Wells, Wakatahuri, Pelorus Sound, has applied for a variation of his existing license so as to permit him to use trawl-nets, in addition to the methods of fishing for which his fishing-launch “Pearl,” NN. 849, is at present licensed.

G. W. Guard, York Street, Picton, has applied for a variation of his existing license in respect of his fishing-vessel “Stella,” NN. 633, fishing into French Pass, so as to permit him to change his port of landing to Picton, and also to operate in addition his vessel “Dawn,” using the same method of fishing as the “Stella,” NN. 633.

Radio-manufacturing Industry

Amalgamated Wireless (Aust.), Ltd., Customhouse Quay, Wellington, have applied for an extension of their existing license to permit the complete manufacture of radio receiving sets.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 19th October, 1944, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that the registration of the New Zealand Metal-workers’ Assistants’ Industrial Association of Workers, registered No. 1832, situated at Wellington, is hereby cancelled as from the date of publication of this notice in the Gazette.
