Appointment of Naval Attaché to United States Legation
in Wellington

IT is hereby notified for public information that the United
States Navy Department has assigned
Commander Malcolm MacKenzie, U.S.N.R.,
as Naval Attaché and Naval Attaché for Air to the American
Legation in Wellington, as relief of Captain James P.
Odling.

The Agricultural Products (Railway Transportation) Emergency
Regulations 1944.—Notice of Constitution of Christchurch
Terminal Area and Appointment of Rail Transport Control
Committee

IN pursuance of the powers in that behalf conferred on me by
the Agricultural Products (Railway Transportation) Emergency
Regulations 1944, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Railways,
do hereby constitute an area to be called the Christchurch Terminal
Area, which shall comprise the railway-stations at Addington and
Lyttelton and all railway-stations, railway-lines, and railway-
sidings at and between those stations; and I do hereby appoint
the following persons to be a Rail Transport Control Committee
for the said terminal area :—
Spratt, Arthur Howard (who shall be the Chairman of the
Committee).
Bartrum, Arthur Eustace.
Benzie, Arthur Eric.
Cousens, Albert William.
Dated at Wellington, this 16th day of February, 1944.

The Strike and Lockout Emergency Regulations 1939.—Appointment
of Emergency Disputes Committee

IN the matter of a dispute concerning travelling-time in the
building trades, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon
him by the Strike and Lockout Emergency Regulations 1939, the
Minister of Labour doth hereby appoint the following persons to be
an emergency disputes committee for the purpose of deciding such
dispute, and doth refer such dispute to such committee accordingly:—

James Havelock Jerram, Esquire, I.S.O.,

Personnel of Armed Forces Appeal Boards

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the
National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I, Angus
McLagan, Minister of National Service, do hereby give notice that I
have appointed—
Arthur Leslie Askew, Esquire, to be a member of the No. 7A
Armed Forces Appeal Board, Masterton, with headquarters
at Masterton, as from the 13th December, 1943 ; and
Andrew Purves Melville, Esquire, to be a member of the No. 6
Armed Forces Appeal Board, with headquarters at
Wanganui, as from the 1st January, 1944;
such persons respectively to hold office during my pleasure.
And, pursuant to and in exercise of the powers above referred to,
I do hereby revoke the following appointment:—
Andrew Purves Melville, Esquire, as deputy member of the
No. 6 Armed Forces Appeal Board, with headquarters at
Wanganui, as from the 1st January, 1944.
