The Clothing Rationing Coupon Notice 1944, Amendment No. 1

PURSUANT to the Rationing Emergency Regulations 1942, the Rationing Controller hereby gives the following directions:—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Clothing Rationing Coupon Notice 1944, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Clothing Rationing Coupon Notice 1944* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

  2. The Fourth Schedule to the principal notice (which relates to the availability of coupons) is hereby amended as follows:—

(a) By inserting at the top of the first column, opposite to the first paragraph in the second column, the words “‘M’ and ‘O’ coupons in 1st series ration books”:

(b) By omitting from the first paragraph in the second column the words “but not including wool”, and substituting the words “and also including khaki wool, but not including wool of any other colour”:

(c) By omitting from the first column the words “‘X’ coupons Nos. 101 and 102”, and substituting the words “‘X’ coupon No. 103”.

Price Order No. 273 (Amending Price Order No. 128) (Eggs)

PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 273, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 128† (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 11th day of September, 1944.

  3. The Second and Third Schedules to the principal Order as set out in the Price Order No. 268‡ are hereby amended as follows:—

(a) By substituting the price of 1s. 8d. for the price of 1s. 6½d. and the price of 1s. 7d. for the price of 1s. 5½d. for ungraded hen-eggs and ungraded duck-eggs respectively when sold in a marketing area within the Westland Egg-price Area:

(b) By substituting the price of 1s. 8d. for the price of 1s. 6½d. and the price of 1s. 7d. for the price of 1s. 5½d. for ungraded hen-eggs and ungraded duck-eggs respectively when sold in the Westland Egg-price Area elsewhere than in a marketing area.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Piako County Council intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928—

(1) for the purposes of a road, the piece of land containing 1 acre 3 roods and 26 perches, part of Section 11 of Block IX, Waitoa Survey District, and the piece of land containing 1 acre and 38 perches, part of the block Hoe-o-Tainui South 4A in the said survey district, such pieces of land being coloured yellow and red respectively on the Survey Office plan at Auckland 28318; and

(2) for the purposes of a quarry, the piece of land containing 1 acre and 14·8 perches, part of the said Hoe-o-Tainui South 4A, being the severed portion thereof between the road to be taken and this block’s northern boundary, coloured blue on a surveyed plan made for the Council by James Edward Thomson, Surveyor, Hamilton.

Copies of the two plans hereinbefore mentioned are deposited at Waide’s Store, Tahuna, where they are open to inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Piako County Council at the County Office, Te Aroha.

NOTICE is hereby given that Reginald Caughey Seymour Smith, of Auckland, in New Zealand, Shop-assistant, intends to apply by petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand during the present session for the passing of a Private Bill, the short title of which is as above, to effect the following objects and purposes—namely, to vary the terms of certain trusts created by the will of the late Marianne Caughey Preston, of Auckland, Married Woman, by granting out of the residue of the said estate an increased provision in favour of the said Reginald Caughey Seymour Smith.
