And whereas the said loan has not yet been raised, and it is expedient to extend the term, as specified in clause six of the said Order in Council, within which the said loan or any portion thereof may be raised :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan by prescribing that no moneys shall be borrowed under the consent given by the said Order in Council after the expiration of four (4) years from the date thereof.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the eleventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising by the Auckland Hospital Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) of a loan of two hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£250,000), to be known as “Auckland Hospital Board Buildings Loan, 1942” (hereinafter called “the said loan”) :
And whereas by Order in Council made on the sixteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, the determinations aforesaid were varied :
And whereas a portion of the said loan amounting to ninety-eight thousand pounds (£98,000) (hereinafter called “the said sum”) has not yet been raised, and it is expedient to extend the term, as specified in clause six of the Order in Council made on the eleventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, within which the said sum or any portion thereof may be raised :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for police purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 6 acres and 21 perches, more or less, being part Reserve 3723, Block XIV, Waitaki Survey District, and bounded as follows : Towards the west generally by the Main South Road, 635·0 links and 1320·25 links ; towards the north by part Lot 106 of Reserve 642, 555·0 links ; and towards the east by the Main South Railway, 1869·6 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/7/218B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

The North-eastern Side of Portion of Queen Street, in the Borough of Otahuhu, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of September, 1944

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Otahuhu Borough Council on the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four, viz. :
“The Otahuhu Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the Borough of Otahuhu, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the north-eastern side of the portion of Queen Street adjoining Lot 43, D.P. 12319, being portion of Fairburn’s Land Claim 269A ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the north-eastern side of the portion of Queen Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE
THE north-eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Otahuhu, known as Queen Street, fronting Lot 43, D.P. 12319, being portion of Fairburn’s Land Claim 269A. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 113865, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Extending the Open Season for the taking or killing of Opossums, Waimarino Acclimatization District

Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance of the powers conferred on him by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend the Order in Council made under the said Act dated the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four, and appearing in the New Zealand Gazette number sixteen of the second idem, at page 212, by deleting the words “1st September” appearing under the heading “Waimarino Acclimatization District” in the Schedule to such Order in Council, and contained in Condition Number One under the said heading, and by inserting in lieu thereof the words “1st October” :
And all licenses issued to take or kill opossums in the Waimarino Acclimatization District under the authority of the said Order in Council are hereby further extended until noon on the said first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.

to be a member of the Board of Health under the aforesaid Act for a period of three years as from the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.
