TAKE notice that the final meeting of creditors in the above matter will be held at the liquidator’s office, 115 Lichfield Street, Christchurch, on Monday, the 11th day of September, 1944, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

The meeting is convened in pursuance of section 241 of the Companies Act, 1933, for the purpose of laying before the meeting the account of the winding-up and giving any explanation thereof.

COUNTY OF WAITEMATA

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and its amendments thereto, by the Waitemata County Council, to execute certain public works, viz.—the construction of a road through Allotment N.E. 51, Parish of Karangahape, Block No. V, Waitakere Survey District, as shown on S.O. plan 32483—and for the purposes of such public works the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.

And notice is further given that the plan of the said road and the land required to be taken is deposited for public inspection at the office of the Waitemata County Council, corner Shortland and Princes Streets, Auckland.

And notice is also hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of such public works or by the taking of such land shall, if they have any well-grounded objection to the execution of such public works or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice, to the County Council Office, Auckland.

Notice of Proposed Stopping of Road

NOTICE is hereby given by the Waitemata County Council that it is proposed to stop, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and its amendments, the following road in the County of Waitemata:—

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of portion of road to be stopped: 2 acres 2 roods 25 perches, coloured green, adjoining Allotments S.W. 50, N.E. 51, S.W. 61, and N. 61, Parish of Karangahape, situated in Block V, Survey District of Waitakere, in the County of Waitemata, in the Land District of Auckland. (Parish of Karangahape S.O. plan 32483.)

And notice is further given that the plan of the said road is on view and open to public inspection at the Waitemata County Council Office during office hours.

And notice is also hereby given that all persons affected by the stopping of the road who have any well-grounded objection should set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Council Office, corner Shortland and Princes Streets, Auckland.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL

Land to be Taken for Road Purposes under the Public Works Act, 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Cook County Council proposes to take for the purposes of a public road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

A plan of the land proposed to be taken is open for inspection at the County Chambers, Childers Road, Gisborne, or at the offices of Messrs. Burnard and Bull, Solicitors, Gladstone Road, Gisborne, during usual office hours.

All persons affected by the taking must set forth in writing addressed to the County Clerk at Gisborne any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said lands within forty days from the 24th day of August, 1944, being the date of the first publication of this notice.

APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR WATER-RACE

NOTICE is hereby given, under section 117 of the Mining Act 1926, that the Body Corporate the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Paeroa has applied to the Warden of the Hauraki Mining District at Paeroa for a license for a water-race which will traverse private land. The locality of the race is in Blocks 1 and 2, Aroha Survey District, and Block XIII, Ohinemuri Survey District, starting on the Waitawheta River, following generally down the course of the Waitawheta River and the left bank of the Ohinemuri River to the Paeroa Borough boundary on the Rotokohu Road. The application and all objections thereto will be heard on Monday, 18th September, 1944, at 10 a.m., at the Warden’s Court at Paeroa. Objections must be filed in the Warden’s Court, Paeroa, and notified to C. N. O’Neill, of Paeroa, solicitor for the applicant, at least three days before the time so appointed. A copy of the application may be inspected at the Warden’s Court, Registrar’s Office, Paeroa, during office hours.
