Prohibition of the Sale of Declared Goods under Clause 9 (2) of the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 3.
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by clause 9 (2) of the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 3,* the Price Tribunal hereby prohibits the sale by any persons whomsoever, on and after the 11th day of September, 1944, of any goods of a kind or class specified in the Schedule hereto (being goods that have been declared under the Declared Goods (Control of Prices) Notice 1944 (No. 1) )†.
The prohibition of the sale by any person of any goods in accordance with this notice shall cease to have effect with respect to such goods—
(a) If and when a Price Order issued by the Tribunal comes into force with respect to those goods ; or
(b) If and when the Tribunal authorizes to such person a selling-price or a maximum selling-price for such goods.
SCHEDULE
CLASSES OF GOODS THE SALE OF WHICH IS PROHIBITED BY THIS NOTICE
- Garments of any of the following kinds, namely :—
Bathing suits and shorts, dressing-gowns, house coats, lumber jackets, nightdresses, skirts, women’s shorts and slacks.
- Handkerchiefs.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Taking of Fish for Sale
F. J. Bothwell, 80 St. Vincent Street, Nelson, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 26 ft. fishing-vessel “ Rita ” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Nelson.
F. R. Canning, The Strand, Whakatane, has applied for a license to permit him to operate a 16 ft. fishing-vessel (not yet named or registered), using drag-nets, catches to be landed at Whakatane.
C. W. W. Byrne, Katikati, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his fishing-vessel “ Rosaleen ” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Katikati.
H. MacDonald, Grovetown, Blenheim, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 16 ft. fishing-vessel “ Patiki ” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Picton.
A. A. Wilson, Russell Street, Picton, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 34 ft. fishing-vessel “ Maui ” (not yet registered), using trawl-nets, set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Picton.
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
Smiley Bros., 159 Bayview Road, St. Kilda, Dunedin, have applied for an extension of their existing license so as to permit them to manufacture boys’ and youths’ boots, shoes, and sandals (sizes 7–6), and maids’ and girls’ (sizes 7–5), by the machine-sewn, fair-stitch, riveted, and cemented processes.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 24th August, 1944, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
