EVIDENCE of the loss of certificate of title, Vol. 76, folio 208 (Nelson Registry), affecting part of Sections 150 and 151, City of Nelson, whereof PARK DAVIS TRADING COMPANY, LIMITED, a company having its registered office at Christchurch, is the registered proprietor, and of Memorandum of Mortgage No. 27287, affecting the land in the said certificate of title, Vol. 76, folio 208, given by PARK DAVIS TRADING COMPANY, LIMITED, as mortgagor, to JOHN EDMUND PRENDERGAST, of Christchurch, Company Director, as mortgagee, having been lodged with me together with an application for a new certificate of title and provisional mortgage in lieu thereof, notice is hereby given of my intention to issue such new certificate of title and provisional mortgage after fourteen days from 27th July, 1944.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 24 of the above Act, notice is hereby given that the scheme, under Part III of the said Act, prepared by the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Napier for the disposal of the accumulated income and future income on the sum of £500 bequeathed by the above-named deceased to the Corporation, to be held in perpetual trust and securely invested, and the rents and profits therefrom to be yearly used in purchasing prizes to be distributed at the yearly examination to the successful scholars at the public Government schools of Napier, was approved with variations by order of the Right Honourable Sir Michael Myers, P.C., G.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, on the 10th day of July, 1944.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Otahuhu Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the erection and construction of a town hall and other municipal buildings in the Borough of Otahuhu—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate in Great South Road, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Great South Road.

MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE TO DEBENTURE-HOLDERS OF INTENTION TO EXERCISE OPTION IN THE MATTER OF THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES INTEREST REDUCTION AND LOANS CONVERSION ACT, 1932-33, AND THE MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH LOANS CONVERSION ORDER 1934 (No. 1)
IN pursuance of section 16 of the Mount Eden Borough Loans Conversion Order 1934 (No. 1), and the terms under which securities authorized by the said Order were issued, the Mount Eden Borough Council at a meeting held on the 26th day of April, 1944, resolved to exercise the option contained in the securities in respect of all debentures maturing in the 1st day of April, 1950, of the Mount Eden Borough Conversion Loan 1934 (No. 1), and public notice is accordingly hereby given of the Mount Eden Borough Council’s intention to redeem such debentures of the said loan on the 1st day of April, 1945, and interest thereon will cease on the said day, viz. :—
Debentures Nos. 1539 to 1728 (inclusive) maturing on the 1st April, 1950.

THE CENTRAL WAIKATO ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and all other Acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, The Central Waikato Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on The Central Waikato Electric-power Board’s Special Loan, 1944, £25,000, authorized to be raised by the Board under the above-mentioned Acts and under the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, for the purpose of further reticulation work within the Central Waikato Electric-power District, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny (1/20d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Central Waikato Electric-power District as the same is defined by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette on 27th day of July, 1939, at page 2042 : and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We certify that the above is a correct copy of a resolution passed at a duly convened meeting of The Central Waikato Electric-power Board held on the 19th day of July, 1944.
