A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a public work and that easements are also hereby taken for the said public work over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, vesting in His Majesty the King the full and free liberty, right, license, and authority in perpetuity to lay, place, and maintain water-pipes along, under, or over the said land, and to carry water through the said pipes, such easements to be held appurtenant to the land described in the First Schedule hereto for the said public work, and that the Crown land described in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a public work; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.
