A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto ; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

LAND PROCLAIMED AS ROAD

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as road: 14·9 perches.

Being part Allotment 179, Kawakawa Parish ; coloured blue, edged blue.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ROAD CLOSED

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 2 acres 2 roods 2 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Allotments 179 and 180, Kawakawa Parish, and Sections I and 14 ; coloured green.

All situated in Block VIII, Kawakawa Survey District (Auckland R.D.) (S.O. 30311.)

All in the North Auckland Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 117820, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of January, 1944.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 5 acres 1 rood 9 perches.

Adjoining or passing through part Paraheke Block (stopped road, Crown land, and Allotment 6, Wharehine Parish.

Situated in Block XV, Otamatea Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 32913.)


In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 117661, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of January, 1944.

Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section four hundred and fifty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, being satisfied that the purchase of the Native land described in the Schedule hereto has been completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the said Act, do hereby proclaim that the said land has become Crown land.

SCHEDULE

RIMUROA 5A Block, containing an area of 1 acre 0 roods 15 perches, more or less, situated in Block VI, Opoiti Survey District, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 91, folio 2 (Gisborne Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of January, 1944.

Appointing the Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section twenty-five of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act, 1933 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and of every other power thereunto him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

William Fox Longley Ward, Esquire,

to be the Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, to hold office, subject to the provisions of the said Act, commencing on the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities and prescribing the Conditions thereof

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 26th day of January, 1944

Present:

THE HON. D. G. SULLIVAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the several local authorities enumerated in the Schedule hereto, being desirous of raising the respective loans stated opposite their names therein, have respectively complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, as required by the said Act, should be given to the raising of the said loans :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the said Act, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the respective local authorities mentioned in the first column of the said Schedule of the respective loans set out in the second column of the said Schedule up to the respective amounts specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows :—

(1) The terms for which the said loans or any parts thereof may be raised shall be the respective terms (in years) stated in the fourth column of the said Schedule.

(2) The rates of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loans or any parts thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding the respective rates per centum per annum stated in the fifth column of the said Schedule.

(3) The said respective loans or any parts thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the respective terms as determined in (1) above.

(4) The payment of such instalments shall be made in New Zealand, and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan-moneys.

(5) The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procurement fees in respect of the raising of the said respective loans or any parts thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.

(6) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.
