THE following notice, received by the Minister of Finance from the Mayor, Borough of Riccarton, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.

BOROUGH OF RICCARTON
Waterworks Loan, 1943, £11,500
PURSUANT to section 13 (1) of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and section 32 of the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Riccarton taken on the 27th day of May, 1944, on the proposal of the Riccarton Borough Council to borrow the sum of £11,500, for the purpose of extending the Riccarton Borough high-pressure mains and providing extra pumping equipment to provide water for fire protection, the number of votes recorded was as follows:-

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Timaru taken on the 27th May, 1944, on the proposal of the Timaru Borough Council to borrow the sum of £72,500, for street and footpath sealing and incidental improvements arising therefrom, the number of votes recorded was as follows:-

In pursuance of the provisions of section 13 (1) of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Pahiatua taken on the 27th day of May, 1944, on the proposal of the Pahiatua Borough Council to raise a special loan of £3,500, for the purpose of tar-sealing roads, constructing footpaths, concrete kerbing and channelling, concrete culverts, constructing concrete kerbing in the town squares, and improving the headworks of the reservoir on parts of Sections 8,
10, and 11, Block XI, Mangahao Survey District, and improving access thereto by installing concrete culverts, the number of votes recorded was as follows:-
