The Rural Intermediate Credit Act, 1927.-Appointment of District Intermediate Credit Supervisor and Chairman of the Canterbury District Board
It is hereby notified for public information that the Rural Intermediate Credit Board, acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon it by section 14 of the Rural Intermediate Credit Act and of paragraph 10 of the regulations made under the said Act, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 22nd December, 1927, and of all other powers it in that behalf enabling, has made the following appointment:-
Hamilton, Douglas Stuart, of the State Advances Corporation at Christchurch, to be District Intermediate Credit Supervisor for the Canterbury District and Chairman of the Canterbury District Rural Intermediate Credit Board in succession to the late Francis Shaw, the appointment to take effect as from the 24th May, 1944.

Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 29
In pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows:-
- This Order may be cited as the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941, Variation No. 29.
- This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of the Overtime and Holidays Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1941 (hereinafter referred to as βthe principal Orderβ).
- The principal Order is varied as follows, namely :-
The provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to the workers coming within the scope of the Auckland (Twenty-mile Radius) Milkroundsmen's award dated 25th March, 1943, Book of Awards, Vol. 43, page 97. - This Order shall come into effect on the day of the date hereof.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Roads of less Width than 66 ft.
Whereas in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Stoke Extension No. 7, affecting part of Section 53, Suburban South, Block VII, Waimea Survey District, Nelson Land District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the proposed roads shown thereon should be of the width of 66 ft. :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of the proposed roads of a width of not less than 50 ft. : Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 35 ft. from the middle of such roads.
Given under the hand of the Minister of Lands, this 29th day of May, 1944.

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of the new road of a width of not less than 60 ft. : Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.
Given under the hand of the Minister of Lands, this 29th day of May, 1944.
