ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of May, 1944
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any Rabbit District, may, by Order in Council, alter and redefine the boundaries of its district:
And whereas the district known as the Maioro Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the said Act:
And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area therein:
And whereas the consent of a majority of the persons in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers' list for the said district has been given to the inclusion of such additional area in the said district:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby-
(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid:
(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,
(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE MAIORO RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Franklin County, bounded by a line com-mencing at a point on the shore of the Tasman Sea, being due west of the south-western corner of Allotment 407, Waipipi Parish; thence easterly generally along a right line, across a public road to the said south-western corner, and along the northern side of Kariotahi Road, being the southern boundary of the Waipipi Rabbit District, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 85 of the 18th day of December, 1924, page 2952, to a point being the production northward of the eastern boundary of Allotment 5, Waiuku West Parish; thence southerly generally across the said Kariotahi Road, along the eastern boundary of the said Allotment 5, across a public road, along the eastern boundary of Allotment 10, across another public road, along the eastern boundaries of Allotments 10A and 131, and 79 and 87 of Suburban Section 1, all of Waiuku West Parish, and a right line across a public road from the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned Allotment 87 to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 76 of the aforesaid Section 1; thence along the eastern boundaries of Allotments 76, 75, and 74 of the aforesaid Section 1 and the eastern boundary of Allotment 171 to a point being the production westward of the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 173; thence along a right line across a public road, along the north-eastern and eastern boundaries of the said Allotment 173, along the eastern boundary of Allotment 42 and a right line being its production across a public road, along the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 53 and 176, the eastern boundaries of the last-mentioned allotment and Allotments 177 and 57, to and across a public road, along the north-western and eastern boundary of Allotment 127, to and across another public road, along the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 129, 130A, 130c, and 130B, across a public road, along the eastern boundary of Allotment 71, to and across a public road, along the southern side of that road and the western boundaries of Allotments 187, 156, and 147, and the Maioro Stream to the Waikato River, all the aforesaid allotments being of Waiuku West Parish; thence south-westerly generally along the right bank of the said river to the Tasman Sea; and thence northerly along the shore to the point of commencement.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section one hundred and sixty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby vary an Order in Council made on the twenty-ninth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published in the Gazette on the third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, at page 424, and affecting Paeroa East 3B1 and other blocks, by excluding therefrom the land described in the Schedule hereto.
