DOMINION STOCK REMEDIES, LIMITED

NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of Dominion Stock Remedies, Limited, will be held on Tuesday, the 6th day of June, 1944, at which a resolution for voluntary winding up is to be proposed; and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the registered office of the company, Progress Buildings, Broadway, Palmerston North, on Tuesday, the 6th day of June, 1944, at 3.15 o'clock in the afternoon, at which a full statement of the position of the company's affairs, together with a list of creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and, in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

CENTRAL HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Central Hawke's Bay Electric-power Board Reticulation Loan, 1944, of £10,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Central Hawke's Bay Electric-power Board hereby resolve as follows:—

"That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, principal, and other charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000), authorized to be raised by the Central Hawke's Bay Electric-power Board, pursuant to the provisions of section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2) 1936, for the purpose of further reticulation of the Board's area, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-thirtieth of a penny (1/30d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Central Hawke's Bay Electric-power Board District; and such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, and being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of the Central Hawke's Bay Electric-power Board at a meeting held on Thursday, the 4th day of May, 1944, and at which the resolution was duly passed.

TAIHAPE BOROUGH COUNCIL

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Finance Act, 1921–22, the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Taihape Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, principal, and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000), authorized to be raised by the Taihape Borough Council pursuant to the provisions of section 7 of the Local Bodies' Finance Act, 1921–22, for the purpose of removing the parapet from the Taihape Town Hall and replacing with a reinforced-concrete band, replacing the concrete balustrade with a wrought-iron balustrade, plastering the brickwork, and painting the whole front with a concrete paint, the Taihape Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five thirty-seconds of a penny (5/32d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Taihape; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Taihape Borough Council held on the 15th day of May, 1944.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and its amendments, by the Waitemata County Council, to execute certain public works, viz.: Construction of a road through and adjoining parts Allotments 306 and 307, Parish of Pukeatua, and part No. 4 Waikahikatea Block, Block IX, Waiwera Survey District, and for the purpose of such public works the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is further given that the plan of the said roads and of the lands as required to be taken is deposited for public inspection at the office of the Waitemata County Council, corner of Shortland and Princes Streets, Auckland.

And notice is also hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of such public works or by the taking of such lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Waitemata County Council Office, Auckland.
