✨ Public Works and Land Notices
Board on the nineteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four, viz. :-
“The Main Highways Board, being the local authority having control of the highways in the County of Waimea, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the south-eastern side of portion of the Nelson-Westport Main Highway fronting part Section 13, Waimea East, Block VI, Waimea Survey District”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-eastern side of portion of Nelson-Westport Main Highway (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-five feet from the centre-line of the said portion of road.
SCHEDULE
The south-eastern side of all that portion of the Nelson-Westport Main Highway, situated in the Nelson Land District, County of Waimea, adjoining part Section 13, Waimea East, Block VI, Waimea Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 118894, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Main Highways Board on the nineteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty- four, viz. :-

“The Blenheim Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the Borough of Blenheim, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the north-western side of Maxwell Road fronting part Section 380 of Section 1, District of Omaka, and contained in the Certificate of Title, Volume 33, folio 280”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the north-western side of portion of Maxwell Road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE
The north-western side of all that portion of Maxwell Road, situated in the Marlborough Land District, Borough of Blenheim, fronting part Section 380, Town of Blenheim, Part 1, Omaka. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 119170, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Officer authorized to take and receive Statutory Declarations

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that Alfred Walter Knapp, being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of Chief Clerk, District Office, Lands and Survey Department, at Wellington, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 15th day of May, 1944.

Lands permanently reserved in the Otago Land District for Plantation Purposes

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
And whereas by the three-hundred-and-sixtieth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section may, at the expiration of one month, but not later than six months, after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette :
And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto were by the Warrant dated the second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four, and published in the Gazette of the ninth day of that month, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for plantation purposes :
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands described in the Schedule hereto for plantation purposes for which purpose the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.

Section 2 of 5, Block XIV, Lower Wanaka Survey District : Area, 125 acres 0 roods 35 perches, more or less.
