Halswell County Council required under the Town-planning Act, 1926, to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board an Extra-urban Planning Scheme

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of May, 1944

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the Halswell County Council is the responsible authority within the meaning of the Town-planning Act, 1926, of a certain rural area as defined in the said Act—namely, the Halswell County:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General is of opinion that settlement is taking place within a certain defined area within the rural area aforesaid—namely, the defined area described in the Schedule hereto—at such a rate that the preparation of an extra-urban planning scheme is deemed advisable in the public interest:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-five of the Town-planning Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby require the Halswell County Council to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board before the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, an extra-urban planning scheme in respect of the said area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, being portion of the Halswell County, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Halswell County (New Zealand Statutes, 1911, page 427), the said point being in line with the south-easterly production of the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 452z, situated in Block III, Halswell Survey District; thence to and along the said north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 452z and its production across the Summit Road to a point 100 ft. distant from the north-western side of that road; thence north-westerly generally by a line parallel to and 100 ft. distant from the north-western side of Summit Road aforesaid and the western side of Worsley’s Track to the south-eastern boundary of Rural Sections 4620 and 4734; thence south-westerly along that boundary and its production to a point 100 ft. distant from the western side of the road forming the western boundary of the last-mentioned rural sections; thence westerly and north-westerly generally by a line parallel to and 100 ft. distant from the western side of that road, the south side of Hoon Hay Road, the western side of Quarry Road, the southern side of the road forming the southern boundary of Rural Section 194, the north-western side of Lower Lincoln Road, the northern side of the road intersecting Rural Section 407, the western side of Saby’s Road, and the south-western side of Halswell Junction Road to the boundary of the Halswell County; thence north-easterly and south-easterly generally by the said county boundary to the point of commencement.

Heathcote County Council required under the Town-planning Act, 1926, to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board an Extra-urban Planning Scheme

WHEREAS the Heathcote County Council is the responsible authority within the meaning of the Town-planning Act, 1926, of a certain rural area as defined in the said Act—namely, the Heathcote County:

And whereas in the opinion of His Excellency the Governor-General in Council it is desirable that the Heathcote County Council should be required to prepare an extra-urban planning scheme in respect of the whole of the rural area aforesaid:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-five of the Town-planning Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby require the Heathcote County Council to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board before the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, an extra-urban planning scheme in respect of the said area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, being the whole of the Heathcote County as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 101, dated 12th November, 1942, page 2744.

Paparua County Council required under the Town-planning Act, 1926, to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board an Extra-Urban Planning Scheme

WHEREAS the Paparua County Council is the responsible authority within the meaning of the Town-planning Act, 1926, of a certain rural area as defined in the said Act—namely, the Paparua County:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General is of opinion that settlement is taking place within a certain defined area within the rural area aforesaid—namely, the defined area described in the Schedule hereto—at such a rate that the preparation of an extra-urban planning scheme is deemed advisable in the public interest:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-five of the Town-planning Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby require the Paparua County Council to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board before the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, an extra-urban planning scheme in respect of the said area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, being portion of the Paparua County, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the north-west boundary of Rural Section 952, situated in Blocks XIII and XIV, Christchurch Survey District, and distant 100 ft. from the south-west side of Halswell Junction Road, the said point being on the south-eastern boundary of the Paparua County (New Zealand Statutes, 1910, page 586); thence north-westerly generally by a line parallel to and 100 ft. distant from the said south-west side of Halswell Junction Road and from the south-eastern side of the Main South Road to its intersection with the south-western production of a line parallel to and 100 ft. from the north-western side of Pound Road; thence north-easterly by the said line parallel to and 100 ft. distant from the north-western side of Pound Road, Sinclair’s Road, and Fleshborn Road to the boundary of the Paparua County; thence easterly, southerly, and westerly generally by that boundary to the point of commencement.

And whereas in the opinion of His Excellency the Governor-General in Council it is desirable that the Waimairi County Council should be required to prepare an extra-urban planning scheme in respect of the whole of the rural area aforesaid:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-five of the Town-planning Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby require the Waimairi County Council to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board before the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, an extra-urban planning scheme in respect of the said area as described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, being the whole of the Waimairi County, and being the land described in New Zealand Gazette No. 2, dated 8th January, 1942, page 25, save and except that portion excluded from the county and added to the City of Christchurch by New Zealand Gazette No. 114, dated 23rd December, 1942, page 3173.
