Land taken for an Extension of a Fire Brigade Station Site in the City of Nelson

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928; and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for an extension of a fire brigade station site and shall vest in the Nelson Fire Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.


SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 rood 13·3 perches.

Being part Section 1167, Nelson City Endowment (City of Nelson) (Nelson R.D.). (S.O. 9337.)

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway to take further land near Mercer in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of piece of land: 1·82 perches.

Being part Section 44, Block IV, Town of Mercer.

Situated in Block II, Maramarua Survey District, Mercer Town District. (S.O. 33091.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 7375, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of April, 1944.
