Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Taking of Fish for Sale

H. S. Williams, Russell, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 16 ft. outboard motor-boat “Romer” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Russell.

C. R. Knowles, Russell, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 16 ft. fishing-boat (not yet registered), using long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Russell.

A. W. Wicks, 258 Mackay Street, Thames, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his 14 ft. outboard motor-boat “May” (not yet registered), using long lines and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Waikowai Creek, Thames Coast; also for a fish-retailer’s license to permit him to hawk his catches for sale between Waiomo and Kereta.

A. Vince, Doyleston, Christchurch, has applied for a variation in the conditions of his industrial fishing license so as to permit him also to operate his fishing-vessel “Huamai” (not yet registered), using set-nets and drag-nets, catches to be landed at Doyleston.

F. R. Chaplin, Springston R.D., Christchurch, has applied for a variation in the conditions of his industrial fishing license permitting him to land his catches at Lake Ellesmere, so as to enable him also to operate in Lake Forsyth.

Fish Retailing

L. M. Rundell, Coromandel, has applied for a fish-retailer’s license to permit him to sell wet and cooked fish from shop premises in Kapanga Road, Coromandel, to be known as “Amy’s Fish Shop.”

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear

W. M. Scott, 7 Croydon Road, Mount Eden, Auckland, has applied for a license to commence the manufacture of ladies beach clogs.

Karel Bondy, 2 Rugby Street, Christchurch, has applied for a license to commence the manufacture of men’s, women’s, and children’s clogs.

R. J. Rawson, Ltd., Auckland, have applied for an extension of their existing license so as to permit the manufacture of children’s footwear, sizes 7–9.

Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 4th May, 1944, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
