Election of Members of the Public Service Superannuation Board

THE following persons have been duly nominated as candidates for the election of three members of the Public Service Superannuation Board to represent the contributors belonging to Departments other than the Post and Telegraph and the Police Force :—

Hunn, Jack Kent, Senior Estates Clerk, Public Trust Office, Wellington.

Mackintosh, Henry William Charles, Commissioner of Crown Lands, Wellington.

Sincl, Roy, Superintendent, National Provident Fund, Wellington.

As the number of persons nominated does not exceed the number of vacancies to be filled, I hereby declare Messrs. J. K. Hunn, H. W. C. Mackintosh, and R. Sinel to be duly elected.

IN accordance with the regulations made under the provisions of the Public Service Superannuation Act, 1927, the official count of votes polled at the election held on the 6th day of March, 1944, for one member of the Public Service Superannuation Board to represent contributors belonging to the Police Department, took place at the Board Room, Wellington, on Wednesday, the 22nd day of March, 1944.

The following is the number of votes recorded for each candidate :—

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Auckland Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

Town Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 12th April, 1944.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 15th May, 1944.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 17th May, 1944, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballots will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

Sections 637 to 650 and 653 to 655 are situated between Ngapipi Road and Paritai Drive, Orakei. They are all good building-sites, with city drainage and other facilities, in a first-class residential area. Sections 656 to 662 and 665 are situated between Okahu Street and Karori Crescent, Orakei, and overlook the waterfront Road and Okahu Bay. All the sections are handy to the bus services, and are within a few minutes of the city.

Land in Nelson Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease

District Lands and Survey Office,
Nelson, 12th April, 1944.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease (term, thirty-three years with perpetual right of renewal at revaluation) under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 8th May, 1944.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, on Wednesday, 10th May, 1944, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their farming experience and financial position.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and weighting for improvements.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND

Borough of Westport.—Town of Westport

SECTION 1146 (formerly part Section 486): Area, 16 perches. Capital value, £20. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, 10s. Weighted with £6 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising 2½ chains fencing and a small fowlhouse.

Section 1147 (formerly part Section 486): Area, 12 perches. Capital value, £15. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, 7s. 6d.

These sections are building-sites in the Borough of Westport. Section 1146 is situated fronting Fonblanque Street and Section 1147 has frontages to Fonblanque and Russell Streets.
