Dawson Ernest Chrisp, Esquire,
to be Deputy Matakaoa County Commissioner for a period of three months from the 5th April, 1944.

The Strike and Lockout Emergency Regulations 1939.—Appointment of Emergency Disputes Committee.
In the matter of a dispute between the Auckland Freezing Works and Abattoir Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers and R. and W. Hellaby, Limited, relating to boners’ rates of pay.
IN exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Strike and Lockout Emergency Regulations 1939, the Minister of Labour doth hereby appoint the following persons to be an Emergency Disputes Committee for the purpose of deciding such dispute, and doth refer such dispute to such Committee accordingly :—

Appointment of Zoning Officer under Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942
PURSUANT to Regulation 7 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby appoint Herbert Maxwell Christie, of Wellington, as Zoning Officer for New Zealand, and his appointment heretofore as Zoning Officer for the North Island is consequentially revoked.

Notice of Intention to take Land in the Borough of Motueka for a Dehydration Factory
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a dehydration factory—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Head Office of the Public Works Department at Wellington and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken : 9 acres 2 roods 30 perches.
Being Lot 3 (D.P. 1548), being parts Section 144 N.R. and 145 N.R., Motueka District.
Situated in Block IV, Motueka Survey District (Nelson R.D.). (S.O. 9357.)
In the Nelson Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 119118, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
