Price Order No. 207 (Paint and Allied Products—British Australian Lead Manufacturers (New Zealand), Ltd.)

Pursuant to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following Price Order:

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 207, and shall come into force on the 4th day of April, 1944.

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER

  1. This Order applies only with respect to retail sales of paint and allied products manufactured by British Australian Lead Manufacturers (New Zealand), Ltd., of the several kinds specified in the Schedule hereto.

FIXING MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICES OF PAINT AND ALLIED PRODUCTS TO WHICH THIS ORDER APPLIES

  1. (1) The maximum price that may be charged or received by any retailer for any paint or allied product to which this Order applies that is sold in any of the cities of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, or Dunedin shall be the appropriate price fixed in the Schedule hereto.
    (2) The maximum price that may be charged or received by any retailer for any paint or allied product to which this Order applies that is sold elsewhere than in any of the cities of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, or Dunedin shall be the appropriate price fixed in the Schedule hereto, increased by a proportionate part of any transport or other charges actually and reasonably incurred by the retailer in obtaining delivery into his store: Provided that the amount added in respect of such charges shall not in any case exceed 1s. per gallon on the lines sold by measure or 6s. per hundredweight on the lines sold by weight.
    (3) If in respect of any lot of paint or allied product sold by a retailer the maximum price calculated in accordance with the foregoing provisions of this clause is not an exact number of pence or halfpence, the maximum price of the lot shall, subject to the proviso contained in subclause (2) hereof, be computed to the nearest upward halfpenny.
