Directing the Sale of Land in Block XII, Heretaunga Survey District,
under the Public Works Act, 1928

At the Government House at Wellington, this 15th day of
March, 1944

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule
hereto, such land having been taken for the purposes of river works
and being no longer required for such purpose.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold : 21 acres
3 roods 35 perches.
Being Puninga Nos. 4A and 4B 1 Blocks.
Situated in Block XII, Heretaunga Survey District. (S.O. 2102,
red.)

In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 118896, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured blue.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described
in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the
public work for which it was acquired.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold : 4 acres
1 rood 2·9 perches.
Being part of the Railway land in Proclamation 3237.
Situated in Block VII, Tauranga Survey District (Auckland
R.D.). (S.O. 32140.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 118126, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured yellow.

Open Seasons for the taking or killing of Opossums in certain Acclimatization Districts

At the Government House at Wellington, this 15th day of
March, 1944

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon him
by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order and
declare that opossums may be taken or killed within the acclimatization districts specified in the Schedule hereto, except in any sanctuary
other than a scenic reserve, subject in all cases to the general
regulations made by Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth
day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, and to the
special conditions specified in connection with each district.

SCHEDULE
NORTH CANTERBURY ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT
(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 68 of 28th September,
1933, at page 2463.)

  1. Season ; Noon on lst July to noon on 1st October, 1944
    (inclusive).

  2. License fee : £2.

  3. Officers authorized to issue trappers' licenses : Chief
    Postmaster, Christchurch; Postmasters, Little River, Rangiora,
    and Akaroa.

WAIMATE ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT
(As described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17 of 12th March, 1925,
at page 754.)

  1. Season : Noon on lst June to noon on 1st August, 1944
    (inclusive).

  2. License fee : £2.

  3. Officer authorized to issue trappers' licenses : Postmaster,
    Waimate.
