Decisions of the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions have been made in respect of applications for licenses.

Taking of Fish for Sale
R. Nichols, The Gables, Russell, has applied for a license to permit him to operate the fishing-vessel “Phyllis” (not yet registered), using set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Russell.
Grace L. Perrett, Opua, has applied for a license to permit her to operate her fishing-boat “Tui” (not yet registered), using set-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Opua.
Hemi Rihari, Kerikeri, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his fishing-boat “Tawera” (to be registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Kerikeri.
D. Hughes, Kaeo, has applied for a license to permit him to operate his fishing-vessel (not yet named or registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Whangaroa.
J. C. H. Brain, Kerikeri, has applied for a variation in the conditions of his industrial fishing license so as to permit him to operate the fishing-launch “Mau Mau,” RL. 60, using long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Awanui.
R. G. Rule, Awanui, has applied for a license to permit him to operate the fishing-vessel “Morman” (not yet registered), using drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Awanui.
W. K. McLean, Awanui, has applied for a license to permit him to operate the fishing-vessel “Tryfluke” (not yet registered), using purse nets, drag-nets, long lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed on the west coast in the vicinity of Waipapakauri.
W. R. Rowe, Cameron Road, Tauranga, has applied for a license to permit him to operate the fishing-vessel “Kiwi” (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Tauranga.
G. E. D. Govan, 125 Great North Road, New Lynn, Auckland, has applied for a license to permit him to operate the fishing-launch “Ivy Lilly” (to be registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at French Bay, Manakau.
D. Jones, Davenport Road, Tauranga, has applied for a license to permit him to operate the fishing-vessel “Llani” (not yet registered), using drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Tauranga.
Messrs. B. S. and A. W. Thorburn, Whakapirau, Kaipara, have applied for a variation in the conditions of their respective industrial fishing licenses so as to permit them to operate the fishing-vessel “John Kennedy,” AK. 210, into Whangarei instead of Whakapirau.
W. J. Hunter, 44 Cleveland Road, Nelson, has applied for a variation in the conditions of his industrial fishing license so as to permit him to operate the fishing-launch “Anita,” using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Nelson.
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
D. F. Ayers, 623 Colombo Street, Christchurch, has applied for a license to commence the manufacture of sports clogs called “Bondi Beach Clogs.”
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 23rd March, 1944, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
Taking of Fish for Sale
Messrs. John and William Duncan, Napier, have applied for a variation in the conditions of their industrial fishing licenses in respect of the fishing-vessel “Marina,” NR. 7, fishing into Napier, so as to permit them to operate the “Marina” in Wellington waters and land their catches at Wellington for a period of three months commencing forthwith.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application should make any desired representations in writing not later than the 13th March, 1944, to G. L. O’Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Amendments to Declarations of Essential Undertakings

THE Controller of Man-power doth hereby give notice that the Minister of Industrial Man-power has made the following amendments to declarations of essential undertakings as enumerated hereunder from the dates indicated :—

Notice of vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, Part II (Unclaimed Lands)
WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have for the purposes of Part II of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (relating to unclaimed lands), made due inquiry with respect to the lands described in the Schedule hereunder and the whereabouts of the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said lands, given the notices prescribed by section 66 of that Act and have in all respects complied with the provisions of that Act pertinent hereto; And, whereas the owner has not established his title to the said lands as required by that Act, I hereby give notice that the said lands are under and by virtue of that Act vested in the Public Trustee as aforesaid as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, the value of the lands for the purposes of section 67-(d) of that Act being less than five hundred pounds (£500).
