At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of December, 1943

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section twenty-five of the Naval Defence Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, with the advice of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend and supplement the regulations referred to in the Schedule hereto as shown therein.

ARTICLE 161, paragraph 3, Class I: Cancel and substitute:—

Class of Work and Circumstances under which Extra Pay may be paid. Ranks and Ratings Rate to each Person per Diem.
I. General Work At the discretion of the Commodore or Senior Officer, in particular cases while employed to execute any work. 1. Lieutenants R.N., and officers of corresponding or superior rank; Lieutenants, R.M., paid on the scale prescribed for Lieutenants ex Warrant Officers, and other Lieutenants, R.M., of over four years’ commissioned service s. d.

ARTICLE 176, paragraph 1: Cancel and substitute:—

“176. Hard Lying Money.—Hard lying money is to be paid in the Royal New Zealand Navy under the conditions laid down in the King’s Regulations and Admiralty Instructions and at the following rates:—

“Officers: Rates prescribed in Article 161, paragraph 3, Section I of these regulations.

“Ratings: Rates prescribed in Appendix IV, No. 81 of these regulations.”
