A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road closed:—
A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through
2 3 15 Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 8.
3 2 32 Sections 24, 25, and 1 of Block 1.
Situated in Block VI, Gordon Survey District (Nelson R.D.). (S.O. 9309.)
In the Nelson Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 118240, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of December, 1943.

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.

Additional Land at Christchurch taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui—Waitaki Railway

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui—Waitaki Railway to take further land at Christchurch in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Land set apart as an Endowment for Primary Education

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the pieces of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which is adjacent to or intersecting the endowment for primary education described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said endowment.
FIRST SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Mangonui County, situated in Block IV, Mangonui Survey District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods and 0·5 perches, more or less, being Allotments 13 and 14, Section 2, Village of Taipa.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2685, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
SECOND SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Mangonui County, situated in Block IV, Mangonui Survey District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood and 13·5 perches, more or less, being Allotment 3 and part of Allotments 8 and 11, Section 2, Village of Taipa, and being the residue of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 5, folio 31 (Auckland Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of December, 1943.

Revoking the Reservation over Portion of a Scenic Reserve in the Wellington Land District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is portion of a reserve duly set apart for scenic purposes:
And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the absence of bush of scenic value thereon:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Hutt County, containing by admeasurement 23·9 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 3, D.P. 8202, and being part of Section 196, Hutt District, Block IV, Belmont Survey District, and bounded as follows: Toward the north-west by Lot 2, D.P. 8202, distances 145·1 and 159·6 links; toward the north by other part of Lot 3, D.P. 8202, distance 52·7 links; toward the south-east by part of Section 196, Hutt District, distances 192·9 and 176·8 links; toward the south-west by a road, distance 87·5 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 4/167B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
