A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis
Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a quarry and shall vest in
the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hawke’s
Bay as from the date hereinafter mentioned, and I do also declare
that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the ninth day
of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 3 acres 2 roods
10·6 perches.
Being part Lot 3, Mangaroa Block.
Situated in Block II, Te Mata Survey District (Hawke’s Bay
R.D.). (S.O. 2094, red.)
In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 117708, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of October, 1943.

PURSUANT to section five of the Native Purposes Act, 1939, I,
Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the Crown land described
in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1936.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area of land situated in the Opotiki County containing by
admeasurement 3 acres 0 roods 15·65 perches, more or less, being
Section 2, Block V, Waiāwa Survey District. (S.O. 4234.)

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22,
I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in
the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Bay of Islands
County, containing by admeasurement 877 acres, more or less,
being Sections 18, 19, and 20, Block XVI, Kaeo Survey District.
As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 5/34,
deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington,
and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of October, 1943.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of
November, 1943

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public
Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anywise enabling
him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve
of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on
the thirteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-three, viz. :
“The Wellington City Council, being the local authority
having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, by
resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred
and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply
to that part of the southern side of Holland Street, fronting the
land in C.T. 347/162, and being part of Section 253, Town of
Wellington ”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall
at any time be erected on the land fronting the southern side of the
portion of Holland Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within
a distance of twenty feet from the centre-line of the said portion of
street.
SCHEDULE
THE southern side of all that portion of street situated in the Wel-
ington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Holland Street,
fronting part Section 253, Town of Wellington. As the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 113994,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and
thereon coloured red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public
Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for tramway and
other purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto ;
and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the
Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.
