NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the Regulations Act, 1936, of the making of regulations and orders as under:—

The Cool-stored Butter Control Order 1943
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on me by the Foodstuffs Emergency Regulations 1939, I, James Ewing Thomas, the Food Controller appointed under the said regulations, do hereby order and direct as follows:—

This Order may be cited as the Cool-stored Butter Control Order 1943.

This Order shall apply with respect to every cool store within the meaning of the Cool-stored Butter Regulations 1938.

(1) While this Order continues in force, no butter shall be released or delivered from a cool store (otherwise than to a manufacturer of butter) except by direction or with the authority of the Food Controller or of the Marketing Department given to the owner or occupier of the cool store or to the person for the time being in charge thereof.
(2) If any butter is delivered from a cool store contrary to the provisions of this Order, the owner, the occupier, and the person in charge of the cool store at the time when such butter was delivered therefrom shall be deemed to have severely committed an offence against the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939.

The Butter Rationing Coupon Notice 1943
PURSUANT to the Rationing Emergency Regulations 1942, the Rationing Controller hereby gives notice as follows:—

This notice may be cited as the Butter Rationing Coupon Notice 1943.

Special coupon number “Y” 1 in third series ration books shall be available for the supply of 8 oz. of butter from 28th October, 1943, to 31st October, 1943 (both days being included).

“A” coupons numbers “A” 1 and “A” 2 in third series ration books shall be available for the supply of 8 oz. of butter against each coupon from 1st November, 1943, to 14th November, 1943 (both days being included).

“A” coupons numbers “A” 3 and “A” 4 in third series ration books shall be available for the supply of 8 oz. of butter against each coupon from 15th November, 1943, to 28th November, 1943 (both days being included).
