IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Transport Licensing Act, 1931, the Minister of Transport doth hereby appoint Stanley Victor Raines, District Licensing Authority for the No. 4 Transport District, Dunedin, as the Deputy of Thomas Herbert Langford, District Licensing Authority for the No. 3 Transport District, Christchurch, during the absence of the said Thomas Herbert Langford.

SPECIAL ORDER.—ABOLITION OF RIDING ACCOUNTS
Moved by Councillor Page:—
“In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, the Otamatea County Council resolves, by way of special order, that, as from 1st April, 1944, sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920 (as to levy of general rates separately in ridings and as to the apportionment of income, &c.), shall not apply to the Otamatea County Council.”
Seconded by Councillor Leslie and carried.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Otamatea County was hereunto affixed by resolution of the Otamatea County Council this 29th day of September, 1943, in the presence of—

PURSUANT to Regulation 5 : 1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.
The prices of Preferred Commercial Grade and Commercial Grade are fixed on a basic rate of 4s. 8d. loose bushel.
Period of delivery (both days inclusive) : 1st October to 31st October, 1943 :—

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to George Foreman, of Taneatua.

The Gisborne Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 2
——
PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—
-
This notice may be cited as the Gisborne Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Gisborne Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal scheme”).
-
Clause (8) of the principal scheme is hereby amended—
(a) By revoking the name of “D. C. Gribble” (Zone 16) and substituting therefor the following name: “C. Goodson”;
(b) By authorizing the delivery of milk to the Military Camp in Zone 23 to be made by C. Goodson; and
(c) By adding to the area of Zone 5 served by Messrs. Thain and Finlay the following :—
“Retail delivery to Hall Street; wholesale delivery to Findlay’s Limited, Gladstone Road; and all shipping at Gisborne Wharf.”
