NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Acts amending the same, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Sumner, a body corporate constituted under the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, proposes to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and its amendments, the land described in the Schedule hereto for the following public work—that is to say, for the purpose of widening Heberden Avenue in the Borough of Sumner : And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land to be taken and the name of the owner and occupier of such land is deposited in the public office of the Sumner Borough Council situate in Wakefield Avenue, Sumner, where it lies open for public inspection without fee during the ordinary office hours of the Sumner Borough Council ; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land who have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must set forth in writing such objections, and send such writing, within forty days from the 29th day of September, 1943 (being the date of the first publication of this notice), addressed to the Town Clerk at the Public Office of the Sumner Borough Council situate in Wakefield Avenue, Sumner, aforesaid.
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land situate in the Borough of Sumner, containing one and nine-tenths perches (1 9/10ths perches), be the same a little more or less, being part of Lot 92 on Deposit Plan 1020, part Rural Section 144, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 324, folio 75 (Canterbury Land Registry Office).

APPLICATION FOR A WATER-RACE
In the Warden’s Court held at Cromwell
NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made to the Warden at Cromwell by H.M. the King for a water-race to divert twelve heads for mining, irrigation, and industrial purposes, commencing in Annisfield Creek, running thence to saddle between the Parkburn and Five-mile Creeks and terminating in bed of Five-mile Creek.
And such application will be heard in the Warden’s Court at Cromwell on Tuesday, 5th October, 1943, at 10.30 a.m.
Objections must be filed in the Registrar’s Office and notified to applicant at least three days before the time so appointed.
