registered in the Supreme Court at Auckland, we did renounce
and abandon the surname of COOPER and assumed in lieu thereof

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice
is hereby given that the above-named company resolved,
on the 14th day of September, 1943, as a special resolution by an
entry in the minute-book of the company, signed as provided by
subsection (1) of section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933 :—

“ (1) That the company be wound up voluntarily ;
“ (2) That Mr. CAMPBELL McALLISTER, of Wellington, Public
Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the
company.”

All creditors having claims against the company must lodge

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amend-
ment Act, 1924, the Public Works Act, 1928, and the
Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and their respective
amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts
and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that
behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, in connection
with street widening at the corner of Cuba Street and Arthur
Street in the City of Wellington—and for the purpose of such
public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required
to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the
land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the
Town Clerk to the said Council in the Central Library Building,
Mercer Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection
without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours ; and that
all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the
taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the
said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the
Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said
office.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington, con-
taining nine perches and twenty-five one-hundredths of a perch
(9·25 perches), being part of Section 101, Town of Wellington,
coloured blue on the plan above mentioned.

DANNEVIRKE BOROUGH COUNCIL

DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE LOAN, 1943

RESOLUTION of the Dannevirke Borough Council to proceed
with the raising of the Drainage and Sewerage Loan, 1943,
providing for its currency and form of debentures, and pledging and
appropriating the special rate.

Moved by the Mayor—

“ 1. That the Dannevirke Borough Council, in pursuance
and exercise of the powers conferred on the said Council by the
Health Act, 1920, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and in pursuance of a requisition issued
by the Board of Health and of the consent of the Governor-General
in Council given by an Order in Council dated the 31st day of March,
1943, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 8th day of April,
1943, at page 425 thereof, and in pursuance of a special order passed
by the said Council on the 16th day of August, 1943, and confirmed
by the said Council on the 13th day of September, 1943, and in
pursuance of all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling the
said Council in that behalf, doth hereby resolve to proceed with the
raising of the Drainage and Sewerage Loan, 1943, of £8,000 :
“ 2. That the term or currency of the said loan be the period
of thirty years from the 30th day of September, 1943 :
“ 3. That the said loan, together with interest thereon at the
rate of £3 7s. 6d. per centum per annum, shall be repaid by sixty
equal aggregate half-yearly instalments of £213 1s. 4d. each, the
first of such instalments being payable on the 30th day of March,
1944, and the last of such instalments being payable on the 30th
day of September, 1973 :
“ 4. That the Council doth hereby permanently appropriate
and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the
interest, principal, and other charges thereon, a special rate of
one farthing (¼d.) in the pound made and levied upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
of the Borough of Dannevirke, comprising the whole of the Borough
of Dannevirke, by resolution passed on the 14th day of June, 1943,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 1st day of July,
1943, at page 736 :
“ 5. That the common seal of the Borough be affixed to sixty
debentures numbered 1 to 60 inclusive for £213 1s. 4d. each, in the
form produced to and approved by this meeting, to be issued in
respect of the said loan :
“ 6. That the Mayor and Treasurer be and they are hereby
authorized to sign and countersign respectively all such debentures :
