WAIMAMAKU DOMAIN.—NORTH AUCKLAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 117 acres 0 roods
20 perches, more or less, being Section No. 3, Block VIII, Hokianga
Survey District, commencing at the westernmost corner of Section
No. 1, Block VIII, Hokianga Survey District: Bounded towards the
north-east by Section No. 1 aforesaid, 290·6 and 688·2 links; towards
the east by Crown land, the crossing of a public road, and again by
Crown land, 5936·1 links; towards the south-east by Crown land,
847·7 links; towards the south-west by a public road along the
Tasman Sea, 1997·1, 1725·4, and 1063·9 links; and towards the
north-west by a public road along the Waimamaku River, the
crossing of a public road, and again by the road along the aforesaid
river, 319·8, 109·8, 304, 710·3, 474·8, 1373, and 4·1 links, to the
point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less:
save and excepting a public road intersecting the before-described

Otago Acclimatization District

At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of August,
1943
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance of the powers conferred on him by the Animals
Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, and of all other powers
and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council, doth hereby amend the Order in Council
made under the said Act dated the seventeenth day of March, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-three, and appearing in the New
Zealand Gazette No. 17 of the seventeenth idem, at page 317, by
deleting the words “1st September” appearing under the heading
“Otago Acclimatization District” in the Schedule to such Order
in Council, and contained in Condition No. 1 under the said heading,
and by inserting in lieu thereof the words “18th September”:
And all licenses issued to take or kill opossums in the Otago
Acclimatization District under the authority of the said Order in
Council are hereby extended until noon on the said eighteenth day
of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three.

Fixing the Date and Place for the Payment of Social-security
Charge and National-security Tax

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of August,
1943
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority vested in
him under the Social Security Act, 1938, the Finance Act, 1940,
and the Social Security Contribution (Companies) Regulations 1943,
His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and determine
that the social-security charge and national-security tax payable
by any company on its chargeable income for the income year
ended on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred
and forty-three, shall be paid in one sum on Wednesday, the second
day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.
And, in further pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authority as aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent as
aforesaid, His Excellency doth also determine that the place where
the said social-security charge and national-security tax shall be
payable shall be the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Wellington,
and that notice to the foregoing effect shall be given by the said
Commissioner accordingly.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority vested
in him under the Land and Income Tax Act, 1923, and the
Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1943, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby order and determine that the respective
duties leviable under the said Acts by way of land-tax and
income-tax shall be paid on the days and dates set forth hereunder:—
Land-tax under section two of the Land and Income Tax
(Annual) Act, 1943: In one sum on Thursday, the thirtieth
day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-
three.
Income-tax under section three of the Land and Income Tax
(Annual) Act, 1943: In one sum on Thursday, the tenth
day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-
four.
And, in further pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authority aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid,
His Excellency doth also determine that the place where the said
duties of land-tax and income-tax shall shall be payable shall be
the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Wellington, and that notice
to the aforegoing effect shall be given by the said Commissioner
accordingly.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section thirty-four of the Native Land Act,
1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
confer upon the Native Land Court jurisdiction to hear and
determine, as between Natives, any claim to the ownership,
possession, or custody of a certain Maori canoe on the Wanganui
River and known as “Te Waka Rauhipi,” and to make such order
or orders in the premises as the Court thinks necessary or expedient.

SUBJECT to the provisions of Article 130 of these regulations and
Navy Order 221, the following shall be the daily rates of pay of
Junior Probationary Electrical Mechanics in the Royal New Zealand
Navy (with effect from 1st November, 1942):—
