NELSON FIRE BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Nelson Fire Board proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, to extend the site of the Board’s present fire-station in Halifax Street, Nelson—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Fire Board in the City Council Offices of the City of Nelson, situate in Trafalgar Street, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk, Nelson Fire Board, Trafalgar Street, Nelson.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of parcel of land to be taken: 1 rood 13·3 perches.
Being portion of Section No. 1167 (Municipal Reserve); coloured pink on plan.
Situate in the City of Nelson.

EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND

NOTICE UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a public school the following land, namely: All that piece of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland containing 4 acres 3 roods 23·2 perches, more or less, being part of a block situated in the Coromandel Survey District called Te Umuhau, and being part of the land on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 11911.
A plan of the land is deposited at the post-office at Coromandel, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office in Wellesley Street, Auckland.

Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
