Land and a Leasehold Estate or Interest taken and Portion of Public Reserve set apart for Public Works

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule and the leasehold estate or interest held from His Majesty the King by William Robert Maxwell, of Temuka, Farmer, under and by virtue of lease in perpetuity, Volume 175, folio 36 (Canterbury Registry), as to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, are hereby taken, and the portion of public reserve described in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for public works; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the nineteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three.
