MEMORANDUM.
2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force.
The notices published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 1, dated 14th January, 1943, relative to Captain D. P. Melville and Lieutenant J. W. Godfrey, are hereby cancelled, and the following substituted :
“Captain D. P. Melville was sentenced by a General Court-martial to be cashiered. Dated 5th December, 1942.”
“Lieutenant J. W. Godfrey was sentenced by a General Court-martial to be cashiered. Dated 9th November, 1942.”

Major (acting unpaid Lieutenant-Colonel) J. Brooke-White, M.Sc., B.E., A.M.I.C.E., 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force, relinquishes the acting unpaid rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 1st January, 1943.
